Frank Creber Off Stage Exhibition Dates: 8-23 August 2020 Preview: Friday 7 August 2020, 6-9pm Frank Creber presents a series of large narrative paintings about his experiences of living and working in the community in East London. The main action of the story, in each painting, takes place in a space in between neighbourhoods observed on location from Lower Clapton Road in Hackney to The Royal Docks in Newham. Creber uses found images of people that resonate with his personal experiences. Drawing with ink on paper he develops a series of protagonists that are brought together in compositions. The resulting oil paintings explore the possibility that community can bring vitality to an atomised society.
