Thames-Side Studios Viewing Room

Erika Feraboli
Exhibition Dates: 13 June - 12 July 2020
Preview: Friday 12 June, 6.30-9pm

In an urban landscape dominated by monochromatic glass and concrete, Erika discovers natural forms and bursts of colour often overlooked by its local residents. From chaotic flowers growing in an abandoned parking lot to formal floral arrangements in a well-tended garden, Erika Feraboli’s work can be described as “decadenza viva” using mixed media including acrylics, inks and enamel onto wood or canvas. Erika's work is rarely pre-conceived but emerges through the manipulation of materials, layering and re-working and the suggestions that this process evokes until all the elements coalesce into an engaging and attractive composition.

Erika Feraboli was born in Cremona in northern Italy and has lived in Parma, Verona and Milan. Erika has a background as a surface and pattern designer and has exhibited at Palazzo Mandelli, Pavia (Osservatorio 9); Fondazione Stelline, Milan (A Decade of Evolution in Design) and Chiesa del Sacro Cuore di Gesù, Ivrea, (Disseminazioni). She was also selected for Premio Nocivelli at Chiesa della Disciplina, Verolanuova.

Erika has a BFA in Painting from The Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and is based at Thames-Side Studios (Studio 5-326).
