Following this Gary will talk about Funding For Creative Industries at the next Thames-Side Studios Talk taking place on Thursday 9 May, 6pm. Gary says "this presentation is designed to address the funding needs of Creative Industry sector, including small businesses and sole traders that need funding and support. Whether you’re an established business/organisation/cooperative or a ‘start up’, developing a funding strategy and accessing funding is vital. This workshop reviews a wide range of options, from grants to social investment funding and from loans to consultancy support and public funding. We show you where the money is and how to access it. Creative industries have now become one of the key industries and export their significant expertise internationally too. Locally, the emergence of many community projects and ‘grass roots’ social enterprises and projects has seen the development of many new initiatives. We will show you were the funding is and how to access it and provide many tips, explanations, opportunities and strategies to unlock this funding. We will also give you a free guide to bid/ application writing."
