Gordon Cheung, Transfer of Power, solo exhibition, Los Angeles (23 July-14 August 2021)

Gordon Cheung's (Trinity Wharf, Studio TW-015) first solo exhibition in Los Angeles, ‘Transfer of Power’, opens on Friday 23 July at C Project, 830 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles and continues until 14 August 2021. The exhibition, presented by Coates and Scarry, showcases work from the past ten years in partnership with International Chinese Fine Arts Council. Featuring elaborate combinations of painted lion dancers, bull riders, AR showers of Bitcoin, digitally distorted landscapes, megacities composed of sand and spray paint, and ornate traditional Chinese window frames built from financial newspapers.
