Reading Surface Matters launches online

Rhiannon Hunter (Unit 7, Studio 7-119) and Alex Simpson (Trinity Wharf, Studio TW-020) are two of the artists featured in Reading Surface Matters which has just launched online.

The online archive is the result of a project involving seven intergenerational female artists, based nationally, meeting virtually each month to respond to a broad range of texts, videos and participatory workshops that explore place, nature, urban, materiality, craft, making, materials and more.

Through collaborative exchange, each artist brings their unique voice to discussions, offering new insights that can enrich personal and collective perspectives. Reading Surface Matters is a call for exploration rather than definitive conclusions. You are invited to scroll, click, read and share in the artists collective imaginings.
