Seven artists and a graphic designer are invited to create work inspired by the Sun. About the artists: Andrea V. Wright Andrea V. Wright is a multi-disciplinary visual artist based in Somerset, UK. She graduated with a BA from Chelsea College of Art & Design (1994) and embarked on a career in fashion, styling and music working with magazines such as The Face, Arena and Italian Vogue before re-engaging with her art practice graduating with MA Fine Art (2016). Andrea has been selected for the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2017; Royal Society of Sculptors Bursary Award; PLOP Residency and the Ingram Collection Purchase Prize 2019. In 2021 Andrea was awarded the AN Bursary for the PADA residency in Lisbon, Portugal which culminated in a solo show at the Foundry Gallery, London. Andrea has since exhibited regularly in London at Fold Gallery, Saatchi Gallery and a solo show at Thames-Side Studios Gallery (2024) curated by ThorpStavri. Andrea is a mentor at the MASS Sculpture School. www.andreavwright.com Meg Shirayama Meg Shirayama is a London-based Japanese artist whose practice explores geometric language through minimal painted forms inspired by the elemental shapes of everyday utilitarian objects. Her work challenges conventional boundaries of painting, while also incorporating collaborations with musicians and dancers to create synesthesia-like performances. She received an MFA in Painting from the Slade School of Fine Art and has exhibited internationally, including at Rocket Gallery (London), DaimlerChrysler Contemporary (Berlin), and Museum Ritter (Germany). Recent exhibitions include Contemporary Concrete at Eagle Gallery / Turps Gallery (London), Sluice Expo 2025 in Iceland, and Biennale International d’Art Non-Objectif 2025 in Pont-de-Claix, France. Shirayama was honoured with the Sculpture Award at the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize (2020), and her works are held in the DaimlerChrysler and Museum Ritter collections. She holds a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London (2014), where she received the Kate Barton Award scholarship. Since then, she has exhibited regularly and internationally, including at the Cultural Forum Ermesinde (Porto, 2025); Ugly Duck, London (2023); Thames-Side Studios Gallery, supported by the Eaton Fund (2019); La Porte Painte, Noyers (2016) and the Mall Galleries, London, where she received the Brian Botting Prize (2015). Based in south east London, Jonathan creates visually striking compositions that blend fine art and design. His distinctive visual language is defined by layered shapes, intricate patterns, and a rhythmic interplay of colour and form. Abstract compositions form through an organic, process-led technique that embraces experimentation and evolves through the act of screen printing. Gabriela holds a BA in Fine Art from Middlesex University and an MFA in Painting from the Slade School of Fine Art in London, where she later worked as a researcher in the Painting Department (2019-20). Her work is held in public collections including the Jasteka Foundation, US; Museu de Arte do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil; The Newark Museum of Art, US and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Sorocaba, Brazil. Her work explores the language of painting and its endless possibilities as a metaphor for life and lived experience.
