British born, London based womenswear designer Shola Ajayi (Studio TB-123) draws on her West African heritage in her new collection ROOTS using a hybrid of British and Nigerian culture whilst incorporating thoughtful practices.

Her main inspiration source comes from the traditional Aso-oke wrapping of the headgear, capturing the organic silhouette in her clothing combined with vibrantly coloured fabrics to evoke positivity in the wearer, authentic to the designer’s aesthetic.
