Andrew Donkin (Studio 0-123) and Eoin Colfer's graphic novel Global, beautifully illustrated by Giovanni Rigano, was 'Highly Commended' for the prestigious the Wainwright Prize for Children’s Writing on Nature and Conservation.

The prize was created in Alfred Wainwright’s name to showcase the growing genre of nature-writing in publishing and to celebrate and encourage exploration of the outdoors to all readers and Global was the first ever graphic novel to make the prize shortlist.

"Delighted and surprised to say that our graphic novel, Global, was awarded Highly Commended,” co-writer Andrew commented “Thank you so much to everyone at the Wainwright Prize. We are all really thrilled, especially with being in the company of such a fantastic shortlist.”
