Contrasting, yet supporting, themes occur in my work. In the Diamond series I manipulat-ed images of the glorious and grand plant Monstera deliciosa with those of cut diamonds. This particular series, tranquil and fun, was inspired when spending time in S. France. The images bring to mind my favourite quote by Henri Matisse:

“What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or de-pressing subject matter - a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue.”
