Lucy Ward (she/they) creates atmospheric prints of landscapes and the natural world.
Made using a variety of techniques, including etching, drypoint and monoprint, Lucy’s prints are an emotional response to both real-world landscapes and things happening in the artist’s life. Cinematic light and shadows highlight the dreamlike feeling, a combination of observation and inner world.
Lucy’s most recent work, some of which was made during a residency in Mawddach, Wales in September, explores themes of identity, grief, change and hope, as well as a connection to nature and weather.
